Do you think we will eventually accept Euros as payment in the US, just like most foreign countries accept dollars? What about gold nuggets and gold dust?

it all depends if you think it will go down further. if so, it would be wise to invest in other currencies. its notorisouly difficult to predict movement of currencies, and i cant give u any good advice on this.

foreign countries don't accept dollors, they still go trough the currency exchange mechanisms. and US already accepts Euros, in the same way.

Gold standard has been demolished long time ago, and i doubt veyr much if it ever will come back.

Of course not, why would people quit using dollars? You must be the paranoid sucker who buys things at the top, so -- thanks, you could just give me your wallet right now and save us all the time and effort.

Currency exchange rates fluctuate for a million abstract reasons, but there is no problem unless your currency is so compromised that high inflation is ignited. That's certainly not the case in the US, and there is no reason to suspect that will be a problem. Far from it, the Fed will most likely over-control the money supply to the point of causing recessions instead of inflation. There's not a vendor in the country who would refuse to take the US dollar, and there is zero chance of that happening anytime soon.

The value of the dollar is not weak at the moment and is a world renowned currency and is used in many countries. Although gold is always worth something unlike a piece of paper, gold is very expensive right now.
