Make a chart:
dimes nickels pennies (dimes X 2)

You know you have 17 coins, so start by dividing up the 17 coins among the dimes, nickels, and pennies. Rememer to put twice as many pennies as dimes. Then add up the value. Keep changing the numbers and trying until you get the value of 76 cents.

D is style of 10c funds, N is style of 5c funds we've a simultaneous equation finished style of money (equation one million): D + N = 60 ---> N = 60-D (equation 2) upload as much as: 10D + 5N = 445 exchange equation 2 into this: 10D + 5(60-D) = 445 so 5D = 445 - 3 hundred = a hundred forty five So there are a hundred forty five/5 = 29 dimes positioned D=29 into equation one million: 29 + N = 60 There are 60-29 = 31 nickels 29 Dimes, 31 nickels
