I want one, but can't afford both, I'm leaning towards the 360 because it already has tons of games and I like their Live Arcade stuff. The Ps3 is more expensive, has way less games, but potentially could be better, what do you think?

Get the Wii! You can play 360 games on it, it's WAY cheaper than the PS3 and you can get tons of games, including NES, Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis.
BTW, to the people who keep saying not to buy it because he/she can't afford it: They said "They can't afford BOTH!"

Get a 360. For a while, I was interested in getting the Wii but realised that the graphics are on par with a PC with a mid-range graphics card, which I, and a lot of other people, already have. The 360 has got the graphical capabilities that make it able to look like a high-end graphics card which kind of makes it future-proof. And why would I want to spend around £200 on that? The 360 price is dropping anyway, and most of the exclusive games that were for PS3 are moving to 360.
So there it is, if you want to choose now, in order: 360, mid-range PC, Wii, PS3.

The answer is amazingly simple, Xbox 360. Pretty much all of the exclusives on Sony's $600 console are going to be on the 360 including GTA IV. You can get a 360 for $100 on amazon and its even more capable of outputting 1080p than the ps3. Visually the 360's gpu is ahead of sonys and can process some amazing visuals as seen in Gears of War which is the best looking game on anything right now. Also microsofts online service Xbox Live is the best out there. Think of the future also, japanese analysts predict that the 360 is going to dominate the market until 2011, with sony coming in second and nintendo in third. The 360 is going to be the console to get this holiday season.

They never said they couldn't afford it, they just can't afford BOTH! Damn, stop saying that over and over and respond correctly.
But back to the question. I'm more for the 360, just because it appeals to me (game selection, etc). What appeals to you? Each console has games that are only exclusive to each. Can you go without them if you were to pick one or the other? Like for instance, Halo is never going to Playstation. I know I could never live playing Playstation and not playing Halo. So that would never work for me. Think about things like that. If there aren't games that make a difference to your decision then what about the wait for a ps3, or the bugs in the ps3 right now? Can you wait for one? Everyone I know that has a ps3 is saying that the graphics are only slightly better than the 360, well is that really worth $200 more? Eh.

If your that glued to videogames here's a pitch:
Screw the Xbox 360 - it's all about PS3 and Nintendo!
Nintendo Wii is more fun to play than the PS3 - it's more interactive.
Playstation 3 is more realistic that the Nintendo Wii because PS3 has ultra-powerful graphics and and it's games are more hardcore.
If price is a concern, go for the Nintendo Wii - you'll save an avergae of about $250.00 - that can make a big difference.
Since I'm a first year Marketing major, I'll give you an educated advice:
Customers tend to buy more of the same product with the same brand because of customer loyalty and brand equity. Brand equity is the value added to a product from its brand ...something like that.
However, is other areas of marketing, pricing can also play a big factor as well....usually people go for the more pricier products because of the value and perception of usefullness that a price can bring to a product.

i have a 360, but i would go with the ps3. right now u dont have money so dont buy the ps3. and if u dont u will get a ps3 that doesnt have bugs and glitches. i like ps3 graphics and resolutio (1080p). it also has motion sensor technology. there arent many games on ps3 right now, but it has resistance and fear and also u can get all sports games

I would say the PS3. There may not be alot of games for it now but give it a couple weeks or a month, you will have plenty to choose from.

If you cant afford it, why buy it??? That makes no sense at all. Myabe you should ask for it as a gift of wait until you do have enough money to buy it.
