I have done a lot of research on different birth control methods when trying to find the right one for me over the years. I have read in quite a few places that it can take a while to get pregnant after using Depo - longer than after coming off other methods like the pill and the ring. I'm not sure what type of scientific proof might be available, but if you search the net you can at least find a lot of women complaining about it.

In a year and half, you have only tried with 18 eggs. It takes 1 year for most peoples bodies to recover from any type of birth control, so really, you've only tried with 6 eggs....the depo shot is something that depending on how long you were on it would depend on how long it will take your body. The longer you were on it, the longer it will take. But, hang in there girl, God will give you a child when He's ready for you to have one.

When I got off my depo shot the doctor told me it could take as long as I had it to get pregnant which would have been a year so it is probably normal. It didn't take me long but everytime I have had a kid it has only taken one time for me to get pregnant. I think it is normal though, I would just keep trying though, there is no harm in that anyway.

Took me 18 months after the Depo shot...I found out that the shot had stopped ovulation all together...Get your dr to send you for a blood test to see if you are ovulating or not. Just because you get your period every months does not mean that you are ovulating. I had to take clomid to get pregnant

believe it or not it is but then again it isn't.you can go years without having a baby after the shot. i know because i have been off the shot for three years now and i haven't conceived yet. the best thing to do is to go your doctor and see what you can do to have a child. though it has been said that the shot can make you infertile. but don't believe in that. if its meant to be you will have a child just don't rush it. i know you are sick of being patient but good things comes to those who wait. so just talk to your doctor and don't be afraid to tell everything because if you don't how will they know how to help you. and another thing, it may not be you.

I waited until a yr past to conceive my son, and it still had an affect on me. Once I gave birth to my son, I wasn't on birth control and it took 9 months to conceive. So yes it is normal
