Depends on what circles you run in as far as music goes. I would say today is Andrea Boccelli but a lot of people wouldn't even recognize the name. Ever? umm..dunno...maybe Pavarotti?

I don't really know is any pop musicians are actually Italian...but if I am going by my own knowledge...I would say currently it would be either Vittorio or Andrea Bocelli. Older...pavorotti. (My spelling could be totally off)
although...madonna...bon jovi...I am sure there are others too.
