I'm thinking that this B&W film is circa late 50's early 60's. If memory serves me OK, it's about a kid who refuses to take his piano lessons -- somehow he is knocked out and wakes up in a dream sequence where there are hundreds or pianos with children forced to play with inflated gloves on their heads (yes, it's trippy). I can't remember the main protaginist actor's name, but I think his first name was "Conrad." Towards the end of the dream sequence, the main kid finds a bottle, that when it opens, sucks all of the sound into it -- I think that caused some sort of "atomic" reaction with an explosion and the return to a waking state.

Any help would be appreciated!

It's the 5,ooo Fingers of Dr. T., with story and set designs by Dr. Seuss. Until the recent lCat in the Hat and Grinch production, this was the only live-action Dr. Seuss movie

Big Lebowski - Great Dream Sequence Rosemary's Baby - Creepiest most frightening dream sequence, or is it a dream? American Werewolf in London, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, American Beauty, Trainspotting, Brazil - not for everyone, Terminator 2 and from a television show, Twin Peaks - Directed by David Lynch - you can probably rent the entire series, but Season 1, episode 3, television/film was never the same after this. Kyle MacLachlan's character Special Agent Cooper has an insightful dream which makes even more sense as the end of the series. Also, the Sopranos Episode #63 The Test Dream. Although Tony has many dream sequences throughout the series, this one was the all time greatest. It might not make any sense to someone who only watches this episode, but characters both dead and living appear to Tony in this dream and guide him to make a decision he doesn't want to make.
