these people don't speak good english and i can't understand them well either. i got gels with them and i love their work. i tell them i want a fill, but i want them to file down my real nail that is growing up behind the gel nail....do i just tell them that? will they charge me for a full set? will they have to break the tips off and put new ones on?

Tell them you want a "fill-in" and a "cut down"....they will understand what you want. Typically a fill in cost anywhere from 12-18 dollars and a cut down usually runs three dollars. Hope this helps!

First of all, I don't think it's possible to "file down" the nail growing underneath, that should grow up to the same length as the fake nail depending on how long you've had then on. They shouldn't have to break anything off and put new ones on, just ask for a fill, and if they are getting to long ask to file them down. And NO, they should not charge you for a full set if you're only getting a fill.

You don't "speak good English" either...

You can't file a nail you can't get to; the old set would have to be taken off, in which case, you would then need a full set.

Just tell them that. It should be part of the fee you are charged for a fill-in (at least it is with mine).
