When you own your own home (not renting someone elses) you can take all the risks of pet damage you want.

Land Lords enjoy the right to protect their investments up to a certain point. In most cases, these Land Lords have had far too many experiences with renters who let the pets destroy the rental property. Damages ranging from, digging in the yard, wizzing and pooping on the carpets and walls..., cats furs pile and mat up the carpets, birds pooping on the walls and cabinets and the list of damages go on and on.

If you owned rental property - you would take as many precautions as the law allows. They want their renters to enjoy their stay - but far too many people abuse this provilidge.., and assume they have a right to do as they please simply because they pay the rent.

If you are a person who takes good care of your pets and your house -BRAVO! But don't get angry at the Land Lords who have been burned by -people who swore they would take care of the rental and never did.

Its not your fault - but then, its not the Land Lord's fault either. Put yourself in his or her shoes and think about it. By the way - I do not own any rental property but I have done repairs for a good many land lords who had trashy tenants.., so I empathize with them.
