You are not alone!

I had Gabriel's So Album on cassette tape. My favourite track was We Do What We're Told - a very short (two minute?) song. It's moodiness and fragility perfectly suited Miami Vice - and it was featured in one episode of Miami Vice.

Big Time was my favourite hit. The videos for Big Time, Sledge Hammer and Digging In the Dirt featured time-lapsed plasticine animation!

Gabriel is also very artistic. Check out his recordings and live performances with Genesis (before Phil Collins took over). For his solo album, Peter Gabriel III, he personally scratched a photograph to create a melted face effect! Also, for a live performance of Steam, Gabriel sang dressed in a faux muscle outfit!

And of course, artistes like Sting and Gabriel go beyond rock and pop to embrace other forms of music, such as world music - something Gabriel is familiar with, as seen in his Real World record label.

YES. Have you heard his collaboration tunes with Deep Forest? It's kinda techno and he sings in Hungarian. Called "When The Earth Sleeps"

Or his collaboration with the Afro Celt Sound System - "When You're Falling"

want either one? send email address and remind me which songs.

"When You're Falling" is excellent! So is "Shaking The Tree" and my favorite is "In Your Eyes" (and if you REALLY want to hear an excellent version of it, listen to the live long version.) It ABSOLUTELY ROCKS.

:)
