Most likely that is all they will admit to listening to. What is so funny is that in their attempt at nonconformity, they become the biggest conformists of all.

Isin't emo and punk a contradiction in terms?

Punk is not for the sensitive...

but music is all sorts of screwed up these days so who knows...

Im sorry but Green day is NOT punk Rock... neither is MCR

Anyone in the age group that WOULD call themselves Emo...doesn't really know what Punk actually is.

Never mind the bullocks... it's the Sex Pistols!

and I really can't see an Emo listening to G.G. Allen...

i can't see why. if they don't think they should they shouldn't even be allowed to listen to music in the first place. music is a gift and NOT a barrier. You got talk to ask them one question, what did punks/emos bands listen to before there was punk and emo?

no. I listen to 80s pop music....love madonna's old music. love billy idol....and I listen to that type of music. being punk and emo isn't about what kinda music you listen to, its a lifestyle and most real punk and emo bands are underground and not on mtv anyway.

Not really. There are other great songs that are not punk/emo/rock.
Just don't listen to those crappy artists like Beyonce, Timberlake, Akon, 50cent...
