I guess it really depends if it is true immortality or a sort of optional immortality.
For example, in many vampire legends vampires can be killed by standing out in the sun. This means that they are immortal, but have an option to cease to exist if they choose.
I would enjoy living a *very* long time provided I remain relatively healthy and don't get senile. Just think of how much knowledge you could gain and how much you could accomplish in the world! However, forever is a very long time I'm sure that after several hundred years I'd be ready to move on...

You'd have to add another caveat - That my body would remain intact, healthy, and pain free. I wouldn't want to live forever if I was beheaded in an accident, or suffered some other physical or mental condition that would be "uncomfortable" for the rest of eternity. And I certainly wouldn't want to be exposed to the environment that I'd face after the earth was swallowed by a dying sun.

Never, I don't want to die now but I do want that day to be apart of my life. In all honesty, this world is very evil. We, as human beings, are like predators ready to kills someone for their meat to get up on top of the "socioeconomic ladder". I mean, don't get me wrong, there are good people out there but human nature in general is from something that was of bad origin.... those who are good people are those who are struggling to be good because they are fighting against normalcy (selfishness). In addition, life is beautiful but it has its downsides as well... such as negative feelings/emotions and negative situation/circumstances you go through because its just life! And, who would want to live and experience that tenfold if you can be happy for eternity in heaven or nonexistent, which ever you prefer and believe.

I would if there was in fact something such as forever, but there isn't. I believe in religion and I believe that there will be an end to everything one day, but since there is no such thing as forever I'd rather not, I don't want to see what happens when things come to an end.

If you ask anyone who is close to death this, I imagine most would shout out: ME.
Those not so close can afford to be hypothetical about it and I'm sure you'll get some answerers who respond: NOT ME
But ask them again when they KNOW the end is near.
