I really like it. I like a name that gives the child a choice of what to be called. He could go by Cobi, Jacob, Jacobi, Dave, David, J.D. So many choices if he doesn't like one he can switch.

Than why not just name him Coby or Koby? Nick names with an i on the end tend to be feminine, and Jacobi seems like a last name to me.

I would go with Jacob OR Cobi... Jacobi sounds like a law firm and I think he will not be happy with your for it. Cobi or Coby is a great name on its own.

Well, the good news is he can go by Cobi, Jacob, Jake, JD or even David, so he should be fine no matter what! I don't love jacobi, but LOVE Jake, so I think it sounds Ok.... Good Luck!!

I had a teacher who's last name was Jacobi. I like Jacob, but I think Jacobi sounds more like a last name.
If you really like it, perhaps try David Jacobi?

Nobody likes their name as they are growing up. We all go through that phase that we want to be called something else. I do like Cobi. It will be up to him to tell people what his full name is. Make sure it fits him when he is born. You will know if it is the right name when you see him.
