I'll say about 17 percent wants to get married to have kids at the age of 30
and then about 45 percent wants to get married for companionship at the age of 40 and up...

I liked Quasimodo's answer! LOL!

I am thinking that younger guys (under 35ish) are looking for companionship and to start a family.

I am thinking that guys older than that may be looking for companionship and may already have kids.

But both groups are also marrying for love and to have a sexual relationship. And someone to help clean, cook and do laundry isn't a bad catch either!!! : ) Everyone wants to be loved, and in love.

i think that when men and women get together when they are young and the female gets pregnant they focus so much on what to do to stay together for the baby instead of what to do to stay together as a family. seems like all feelings are pushed aside for the two adults and all feelings then are for the baby. a child cannot make a man or a woman stay and when the child is used as a reason to make a relationship work, it never works. who is happy? a child eventually will grow up and feel the tension of the two people whom he calls mom and dad and start to ask questions. why put a child through all of the pain of being the only reason you stay together. as long as both parents stay in that childs life....he/she will be healthy. would you rather that child see you together and bitchin or apart and happy.
i think that men in their 40's marry for companionship. they then know what they want. they then want to settle down. the streets and the other extras really don't mean that much anymore.

Bah!...children. As far as companionship...get a dog. I marry for love and wanting to share things in my life with someone who enjoys doing the same things I like to do.
