Why do most cops feel as if they are better than the general public?

In my opinion, cops are alot lower on the social scale than many people. I mean, anyone can dodge college, go through a bull**** academy and try to act inferior. Its not my fault that I am 20 yrs old, and make way more money than they ever will, and drive the car of their dreams. The thing is, I do not respect cops for any of the work they do, and no, if I was in real danger, I would not call 911, honestly I am better off helping myself. Also, why is it a big deal when a cop dies, but thousands of people die a day and no one notices.. Does anyone else feel like this? F*** a cop.. they need to find real professions.

I agree. They have supoir complexes. I have been a military police and have several family members that are in the force and know i work for border patrol. I have a lot of law enforcement experience. 75% of people who carry a badge use to their advantage. They will give you a ticket for speeding then 3 hours after shift are driving home drunk. Yes they put their lives on the line but so do airplane pilots and taxi drivers. Anyone dealing with the public puts themselves on the line.....but cops get o have weapons. And the college they do is law enforcement classes not real college. They are hypocrites and believe in do as i say and not as i do. I have been arrested 4 times for traffic violations( one time for getting smart after being pulled over) im not a criminal, i raise two kids but even when i have called the cops i always get treated like a crook(its my face). Let be in uniform or they see my id they treat like a buddy.

And Us military people don't feel civvies suck....and chef your son is just stupid because we love our families and friends (who are mostly civilians) and understand that we choose to do what we do so you dont have too. And futhermore we realize we arent the brightest crayons in the box and if most of us had real skills we woldnt be in the service(well at least not for life) That is what makes America great. And civilian agency's don't like military style. In the military it is a lot more strict and civilian has too many restrictions(supposedly)

Who feels better than others??? Making a lot of money and driving a nice car does not make you special. Cops put their lives on the line for people like you. And, many DO have a college educaton in addition to their training. It is a "big deal" when anyone dies.

i agree with your attitude but it comes from the fact that alot of cops watch the tv shows and think they should or can act like the cops in the tv shows ie they wear army cloths and think they are army men and we are civies but they too are civies and are there to protect us and serve us. note protect us from not only the people around us but from them too the cops who think they can abuse there wives and children. and as any military basic traniee will tell you civilians are worthless crap and low lifers that is what the government teaches them. i had to chew my sons *** when he got out of airforce boot camp because he was saying that all civies are worthless crap. so the gi thinks we are crap and the cops are army wantabies and they think we are crap. that my friend is where the problem comes from. from the training its not from the things they deal with in the streets. its from there training. if you dont belive me then just ask any new reccrute in the army or any branch what they think of civies.
acording to there traning a civie job is a for a low life and a military job is for better people. ask a cop to help you push your car to a close gas station or to give you a jump most likely they will call a tow truck. its there job to serve not to impound. we are inocent untill proven guilty by law but they treat us as guilty untill proven inocent. look at how they will beat or shock a person watch the movie cops and see how many people are abused while taken into custodey and look at the so called road blocks set up for hi speed chases and someone dies because a cop dident want to damage his tax payer car to stop some retard and the retard gets past the so called roadblock and runs a red light and kills someone. oh we dident want to damage a car so we set a car in the middle of a 3 lane hiway and called it a road block. or we had 6 cars around the person but we moved over because he was going to damage our car oh we couldent slam on the brakes or shoot out the tires we might damage our cars or waste ammo its all about getting on the show cops. oh we wouldent be on the show for the greatest car chases if we stoped the perp in the first block. its all show time now its no longer about doing there job. just my opinion and i have a right in this country to voice it. dave

I dont know that they feel superior,but you had to ask the same questions to the same sort of people day in day out and deal with the level of violence thats out there, maybe some will develop an attitude.They are not perfect,but where will we be without them.

Do you know any police officers personally? Have you ever asked an officer what his or her job is like?

Why are you taking your personal situation out on an entire group of people who choose to put their lives on the line to protect others?

You really shouldn't judge until you've tried doing what they do.

in total agreeance! I dont know what kind of person would be able to sleep at night after doing that Job. they are heartless bast**ds. They definatly pick on younger and poorer crowd. F**k em!
