Whats it like working at a "things remembered" store?

i was recently hired and want to know what other employees or former employees think of the company. If you have worked there or know someone who has please leave an answer. thank you

I worked there when I was in high school and college. Just like any other job, it had its ups and its downs.

I loved my boss to death, she was a ton of fun. I liked engraving the unique things that I came across. One of my favorite gifts was a Buck Knife that I purchased elsewhere and engraved by myself for my brother's confirmation gift.

Of course, the crabby or extremely picky customers are no fun to work with. And I was never really fond of having to clean/straighten the store when I wasn't busy. Personally, I hated Christmas season. To this day, I dislike Christmas music. You get really burned out when that's all you hear for 40+ hours a week for six weeks or more.

I never really dealt with TR at the corporate level. Never really needed to, so I guess they were all right.

I guess in the long run, you get what you put in to it. If you're expecting a good experience and put in the effort, you'll get a good experience. If you decide now, before even starting, that you'll hate it, then you probably will.
