Located right next to the automatic diswasher detergents and the jet dry is a new product called Cascade Plastic Booster. It is an additive that you add to your diswasher cycle that is specifically designed to get greasy tomato stains off of your plastic.

Also - there are new plastic storage containers that are designed to repell the dreaded spaghetti sauce stains. They only cost about a dollar more than regular containers but keep those stains away (for a time) but they do come back after heavy washing.

Hope this Helps!

I fill the container with hot water and pour in a 1/4 cup or so of bleach and let it sit. Within 30 minutes or an hour, it should be clean. Then wash with soap and water.

I just add some baking soda and warm water, then let it sit while I relax with the TV. It works perfect, and the Baking soda is so convenient.

I agree with Scott, the Cascade plastic cleaner really works, and Tupperware(r) endorses it also.

yes.. throw it away.. after a while plastic gets soft and absorbed all kinds of icky things...

just get a new container... you don't want all that bacteria anyways.

once plastic absorbs something that won't come out or it's bubbled up in spots.. time for a new one.
