Its a trojan, so you need an anti spyware. Your anti virus can't remove a trojan.
Before attempting to remove malware you must switch off System Restore as back up files will be hiding in there, and it will just restore itself. Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.

Then beef up your security. Its easier to prevent malware getting on to your sytem in the first place rather than trying to remove it. All the following programs are free for personal use;

You need to install one firewall.
The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.

Hello,

Unfortunately I have had quite abit of experience with Trojen Horse infections most of these have been of the internet downloader type which are the most common.

OK! some pointers for you, No.1 if the infection is a real trojen and it might well be, then you need to find out if possible what it is and how it behaves & what it does and any removal instructions. See the website of your AV program or run a search via Yahoo or Google for the trojen in question.

But this depends upon having a usable system of course!!

No.2 Some Trojens can be VERY slipper characters, why? because they can & do cloak & hide themselves from view but still exsist.

No.3 Most Trojens dont behave like Viruses or worm infections so I wouldnt entirely trust what the anti virus software tells you. Remember anti virus programs are primarily designed to detect viruses & worms NOT trojens. But the AV software might still be correct, you shouldnt take the item found at face value that's all, you should back up the diagnosis with your own research on the item found. To confirm the AV software is correct!

No.4 The reason I suspect you cannot delete, quarantine or shift it. Is because the trojen has got hold of a peice of your machines system memory or working memory. i.e. its loaded itself. Until you kill the process or thread in memory you wont be able to remove it, this is true.

No.5 I suspect that this Trojen has installed itself directly into your windows system folders somewhere, usually inside the system32 folder.

**The good news is that Trojens on the whole DONT replicate or copy themselves so DONT spread inside your system, unlike viruses or worms.

**You can download a freeware program called "process explorer" this tool would allow you to find/see the trojen in memory and to safely kill its threads & its grasp on memory. Then you might well be able to delete it, unless the trojen has self protection tricks up it's selve? which is possible. Some Trojens are very clever with this kind of thing.

**Some extremely good freeware programs & tools to detect and remove trojens are as follows:-

a)SpyBot Search & Destroy, extremely good program
b) A2Squared
c) AdAware SE
d) Ewido from Grisoft.

**these are all very good quality programs that can help in the detection and removal of trojens & spyware & adware, malware.

In fact, it is easy to get infected if you often surf the Internet. Cyber Criminals can take any chance to attack the weak computer. It will spread Trojans, Worms, Redirect virus and malware on your computer. Often scan your computer and update your system. Or you can download a reputable removal tool to help you detect and delete the threat automatically.

Try downloading the Microsoft Malicious Software Remover and the Windows Defender Beta 2 and if they dont work on getting rid of it try searching it in google and there might be a tool that removes it or other wise go to your computer store and ask if they could remove it for you.
