How long has it been since you reformatted your hard drive and re-installed windows? If the answer is "never" or "more than 2 years" - you should do so. Windows accumulates errors the longer it runs.

You can prolong the inevitable by defragmenting your hard drive (you should do that monthly), scanning for viruses/adware/spyware, and making sure you have at least 15-20% free space on your hard drive (at least 10 GB free in your case), but nothing makes a computer run like new like a complete format and reinstall.

The process will completely erase your entire computer, so you'll need to back up your important files to DVD's or some other kind of removable media, and then reinstall all your programs again when you are done.

You may also want to consider buying an additional 512 MB of RAM.

Why don't you check your system tray for unnecessary running applications because they might slow the system. By the way, your video card is nice and advanced and probably noisy seeing it's a Radeon. Upgrade your RAM and check your running apps by going to the start menu and typing in the Run box "msconfig". I hoope this helps... :)

Add more memory. Go to www.crucial.com. They sell memory. It's an awesome website. You can find the information in their databank, or you can have them scan your computer. They will tell you everything.
