You should be able to take it out yourself.
In fact, you should have got used to putting it in and out before now. And turning it and jiggling it about, etc whilst it was healing to stop the wound sticking to it.
If you have problems you could probably go back to the shop.
FYI, I had my nose ring for about two years and now three years later I can still put it in (painlessly) if I want to p!ss my hubby off! Once they're healed these piercings do tend to last so try Vitamin E cream/oil to help it heal back up.

Your lip should have been healed enough after 6 weeks and after 6 months, you should be able to go over 2 days without the hole closing up.

No, you don't need to go to a shop to have it removed. It's very easy to do it yourself. If you are uncomfortable about doing it the first time, then maybe you should go and maybe ask them a few tips. Getting it back in may be tougher though.

If it's a hoop and you just can't get the ball out use a pair of pliers.
Close them and stick it in the ring and open the pliers and the ball should fall out. Then just take it out yourself. Use some meds to heal it up without scarring.
