I'm not walking up to people and saying, "Hi. I think Jim Carrey is hot." This is in actual conversation about hot guys.
I know I have odd taste in men, but is he really so unattractive to most people?

because comedians are not generally viewed as being "hot". If you notice comedians men and women are not typically called sexy. Even though he is an actor, he still placed into the category as being an comedian because that is how he got his break.
But do agree with you Jim Carrey is hot.

People have different taste in men, and you happen to like Jim Carrey. So what? Let those people talk, cuz who knows?They might like someone who looks terrible! But don't let what other people say distract you from who you really like, its just words and other peoples oppinion. Jims personality is probably a funny one, so who cares what other people think?

LOL I get the same reaction from people when I say the same thing. Jim Carrey Is one FINE looking man !!! :) Everytime I say this I get awkward stares followed by an "ewwww! are you serious?!?" LOL He's been looking really good lately with his longer hair now that is HOT!

People are attracted to other people for different reasons. For example personality or they might have a great sense of humor (like Jim Carrey). It is your opinion don't let people get to you, I think he is cute in his own way.

no really its all your opinion. i guess if the light hit him at a certain angle yes Jim Carrey could be appealing. It's not like he's the ugliest man alive - or even ugly at all.
it's probably because people are more familiar with seeing him in silly movies wearing silly faces - people forget he's human...and can actually be cute.
people are probably expecting you to go with the normal rants of Dr. McDreamy, George Clooney or Brad Pitt or something.
Stick to what you like - Go Jim Carrey!

I'm with you! Jim Carey is totally adorable! His sense of humor and confidence only makes him cuter. Plus, he has a nice @$$. I think many people see comedians as just people to laugh at. Not to look at.
By the way, I get the same look when I tell people about my "boyfriends". Don't laugh 'kay? John Cusak and John Mayer
Also - I think Sonia is thinking of Kevin Costner?

I don't think he is unattractive at all. It's just that he does all those weird face things and has kind of an overbearing personality (or so it seems, can't say I ever met the guy), so it is kind of hard to look past that, you know?

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!! I think that Tori Spelling is hot and so is Eminem....and i think no matter how old he gets L L Cool J and Will Smith will be fine!!
