My knees started clicking when I was about 20, after a game of tennis on a hard court. I had x-rays etc, but the doctor found nothing wrong. I'm pushing 50 now and they still click but there's no pain or discomfort; i just can't creep up on anybody!

I went to the docs years ago due to this and was told that i didn't have enough cartilage behind my knee caps. Was told not to worry about this as long as i didn't have any pain which i don't. I'm 30 now and have had this since i was about 12 and it hasn't been a problem. If it's sore though, i think you can get injections for it behind your knees but that sounds painful!

With some people it happens but its very normal. Dont worry about it just live a normal life. I know some people who had this since they were young and now when they are middle aged they are living a perfect life without any knee problems.

oh my gosh that occurs to be someimes, for the reason that i'm a muslim, for the period of sajda(bending over) I could bend, stand and then bow two times and then stand back, evertime i stand my knees click, it particularly is particularly stressful and freaky. yet i'm happy to work out i'm no longer the only one. i used to get very painful kneecaps and that i'd finally end up having a extensive dose of paracetamol, as quickly as I have been given it checked the medical doctors suggested it exchange into through me turning out to be up. it does not haapen as plenty now because it used to. i think of you're able to get it checked, just to work out its no longer severe
