I am possibly moving to New York after I graduate H.S. in May and I am wondering where is the best place to start my acting career? I have read New York, NY; Hollywood; Nashville; Chicago; Detroit; Atlanata, GA. Does anyone know?

I think any of the cities would be good. I've done some stuff in Chicago, and I think it's a great city. Keep in mind you will probably need headshots and an agent if you're serious, so start saving those pennies! Stage is the best way to start, but keep in mind that it's hard to get leads the first time.
Honestly, if I were you, i would go to a college for the performing arts so you can get some great experience and a higher education. But if you do start acting, best of luck!

Move to New York or LA only.
If you want to be a great actor, you will learn it doing plays in New York and you will be able to build a good resume and reputation.
If you want to be a movie star move to LA.
You are young and you can bounce back from anything. New York is expensive, but millions of people do it. Don't let fear of high rent stop you from pursuing your dreams.
Plus you can live in Brooklyn or Queens and have a perfectly safe, not terribly unreasonable rent, quick ride to Manhatten apartment.
Don't sell yourself short. New York or LA only.
