If you are like myself and don't like certain things such as losing scalp hair, excess body hair, body fat etc... do you think science is reaching a point where anything is possible regarding changing your appearance? For example, the lady who had the face transplant now looks almost normal (although she still has to take dangerous immune suppressants). In future (or even now), can we all look good or great? Have you had a cosmetic procedure you are happy with of late?

I like your question! But i do have to say that the term "perfect body" is really relative. I do believe that science can very much change our bodies almost as perfect as we want them (or think we do) using computer imaging, then aesthetic surgery. However, what we have to realize is that by undergoing major surgeries, a person could very possibly be submitted to a huge psychological impact. Our mind works wonders, for years you're accustomed to your face then after the surgery you look different, this will tremendously impact the way you think and feel about yourself, and not in a good way! Also, an important thing to remember, is that esthetic surgeries will never hold up forever, as a person gets older, the elastine (a hormone responsible for the elasticity of the skin) will change drastically giving bizarre feel to the skin and very bizarre wrinkles. No matter how perfect the surgery looks now, and no matter how good the doctor is himself, the age will always prove it differently because no one is actually more powerful than the Creator Himself, therefore no one can redo His job any better.
Hope this helps :)

I don't think science has reached the level at which it can give us the perfect body. Also note that a "perfect" body is dynamic over time. A perfect body in the 1600 had a different definition than one today. Also cosmetic procedures have a deep psychological impact. Think about the face transplant. How would you feel if you woke up every morning and saw someone else in the mirror?

the research in stem cells is going on.if it can be commercially made available then any organ can be made and any operation can be done with ease.
there is research going on DNA garbage which actually contains everything about us.so if this gets successful then we may go even further in editing ones appearance.

God I HOPE science won't come to that.

We all should be thankful for what we have.
God made us who we are and we should appreciate it.
