you can download it from a torrent site like some people mentioned, but that would be illegal and require a serial number. a lot of people do it by downloading it then burning it. And yes you can upgrade with it as well.

No, you can't upgrade to XP from any of the pre-XP OS by downloading the new Operating System free. You need an installation CD as installing a new Operating system or upgrading from older Operating System to a new generation of Operating System requires a new software licence.

yes u can from torrent sites, if u do a google for torrent:windows xp but u will need to pay for the serial number/key
