I think mobile phones providing by Reliance in India does not required Sim cards, having in built cards.

Both SIM and Mobile Phone is indispensable for the other. SIM is the life of the Mobile Phone and Mobile Phone is the Body of the SIM. Whatever costly Mobile one may buy its useless unless a valid SIM is inserted into it. So without a Mobile Phone the SIM has no work.
There is a note book Computer named as Flybook whose internet connection runs on GPRS platform and an active and valid SIM is inserted in it. One can make phone calls, send SMS like a Mobile Phone from it. But Flybook like other good things are yet to be introduced in India.

SIM IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IF YOU PUT THE SIM IN YOURSELF , YOU WILL BECOME A MOBILE.
