As long as my husband and pets are ok... everything else is just material... but, if I had time...
1) I would take a memory box I have with letters from grandparents, siblings, first letters from my husband. Sentimental value.
2) Probably my purse because it has everything I need: contacts, cell phone, wallet...
3) I'd think the last thing would probably be the framed picture my husband gave me on our very first wedding anniversary.

The 3 "objects" would be... 1#... my purse because of my $$$$, ids, ccards, car keys, etc. 2#... Photos, as many as I could get, because they would be hard to replace. #3... maybe a few personal effects such as clothes, shoes, don't want to be naked.
All this because I think these things would be the first I would need to survive until I was able to repair or rebuild after the fire. I wouldn't risk my life for them though... And you said "objects". If any of my family where here, they of course would always come first, even putting my life on the line.

In addition to the ones you mentioned, the wedding dress, whatever I can gather that belongs to my baby, birth/ wedding certificates, my education certificates, passports, driving licenses. You did say 3, but its hard to pick. Hope this never happens (my mother in law's house burned down 2 months ago), but when it comes to life, thats all that matters. The insurance will take care of the rest.

My snoopy, he's 30 years old and looking pretty scraggy, but he was given to me by some uncle who I can't remember and for some unknown reason I just don't seem to be able to sleep without him. I'd also grab my bag as it has all bits in it I need like phone, money etc, urm that's about it really.

Home movie tapes, to have those memories.
Purse w/ ID, credit cards, checkbook and SSNs in it for identification purposes.
File containing birth certificates, Social Security cards, car titles, so I don't have trouble getting new ones or identifying things.

My wallet would be at the top of the list - credit cards, ID, etc. are important. Assuming you have an attached garage, I would want the car too. Transportation is also important to me. After that. . . hmm, my cell phone. Communication is important too.

1. My grandmother's wedding ring. My mother had a gemstone put on it. Reason: Its an heirloom.
2. My purse. Reason: Has all my credit/debit/health cards, I.D., and cash.
3. My husband and my medications. Reason: Obvious.

In the event of a fire you don't stop to take ANYTHING - you just get out as quickly as possible.

My purse, binder with all my cat registration numbers in it (I breed cats), and my wedding ring (I'm getting married next year). All of these things are if I'm guaranteed the time to get them. If I'm not guaranteed to get them and make it out alive, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as my fiance and pets are safe, that's all that really matters to me.
