It's a little known fact that Jack was an incompotent dunce and was therefore incapable of climbing onto the door.

Plus if he hadn't died then the old woman would have had no story to tell at the end and she would just be sitting at home making cookies and generally being bored and unhappy. Is that what you want? To make an old woman unhappy?

I've been saying this for years...they just don't bother trying to balance it up right. It's not like anyone's life depended on it or anything!

I watched the film again last week. It's rubbish. I used to think it was great, but apart from the effects its terrible.

LOL how do you expect the movie to be all tragic that it brings one to tears if the hero didn't die!

In addition to that, Rose had no choice really, the boats were only given to women and children!!

If you wanted to he could of tried to jump up on the door but I think he was being a gentlemen. So dont put down Rose she was a good girl.

That is the most annoying part of the film I must admit if they had both jumped on at the same time they would have been fine!
