If it just makes us reflect for one minute, its worth it.

Depends on how you "behave" on Christmas. If you're the kind that gets the holiday spirit and become nicer and friendlier and love spending time with your family then I guess Christmas makes you better.
If there's no change then I guess not.
Some people even get closer to God on Christmas. If that happens then Christmas definitely made you better.

yes for some people that is true but there r also some people that turn ugly come Christmas,it's pretty bad that crime rate goes up during the Christmas holidays because people would rather steal from people rather than get a job and buy their own things! But as for me i find that during the Christmas holidays i am a little more caring and understanding, I love Christmas!

when i was younger, yes. But the world's changed a lot in the past years. Like christmas starting on labor day and people going crazy over dumb toys that will be half the price in march

It depends on how you look at it. I know some people that rush to get all their christmas gifts and hurry to get all the christmas things out of the way. they completely miss the point of christmas--family, togetherness, sharing, and (if you believe) the birth of jesus.

i think it brings out the charity in us. We enjoy giving, its the shopping, queues, people bumping into you and not saying sorry and the maddening crowds that gets to us.
Thats why I try to get all my presents done by 10th Decemberish to avoid all the silliness and rudeness that takes some people over, Then I dont get affected by it and it doesnt spoil my Christmas.
I also think it should be a relaxed affair, it really doesnt matter if dinner is half an hour late, its not worth stressing over.
Enjoy it.

No, Christmas is a fake holiday that has little to no roots in Christianity.
Alvistide is a better holiday for winter. It's a time when we Alvians celebrate the life and birth of Alvis, my lord.

I believe that Christmas makes us nicer, in some ways. Everyone seems happier and thinking of others.

No..its an outward representation of plastic people and wishful thinking that never happens. People give for ONE day when they should be giving all the time and not expecting anything. And that ONE day is never really genuine in their hearts. All this commercialism just adds to the fakeness.

The ppl who are nice or ok to start out with get better at Christmastime. The ppl who are mean usually are mean 365 days a year.

i think it makes some of us nicer, and more tolerant. for instance.. someone will donate 10 dollars 2 needy children, "because it's christmas" when they would never do it otherwise. it seems 2 unite ppl.
