Sure, because opposition to stem cell research is based on the belief of many people that clusters of cells in petri dishes are human babies in the eyes of God.

We are not against stem cell research, Just the harvesting of embryos. Adult stem cells have been quite sufficient in bringing about medical advances. Just the other day Great Britain grew a liver with adult stem cells. bet ya didn't hear about that on the liberal news. The reason, embryonic stem cell research is a political issue not a medical one. Ditto to bird snake.

So it would appear. Of course Stem Cell Research reaches across party lines. Some Republican legislators favor it and some Democrats do not.

I hope they do. Why waste money on something that will never produce anything but rich scientists. I would go for adult stem cell research. But I will call and do anything I can to stop any funding on embryonic stem cell research.

The Democrat victory is a temporary one as long as they don't come to grip with the defining issue of our time, and that is fighting and winning the war on terror, and tragically; so many of them are not.

As for your question- why would Republicans change their ideological perspective on an issue just because they lost an election? If they opposed it before, then they'll still oppose it. The reason Reps lost is because they started to become too moderate in the first place and lost their base because of it; they're not going to win by becoming more moderate.

They have been against Tax Funding of Baby Farms.
(Your Premise was false, so your Conclusion is Incorrect.)

Actaully the liberals stopped ethics reform when they put in a out CLinton era reactionary over Nancy P pick and he is a known person to over look corruption. Stem cell research is using a dead baby for research Hitler would be proud I for one will always be against it.

No one is against funding for stem cell research. The only question is whether federal tax dollars should fund EMBRYONIC stem cell research. The federal government is not the only legitimate source for scientific research in this country.
