Ouch! Sorry, no intention of getting you down. Your intention is very good but the problem is, you don't have enough experience neither in creating a web site nor handling shopping cart.
My advise, get the principals right. You need to understand how it works and how to overcome the obstructions. Selling on the net is not easy as it may seem but by getting yourself partially equipped will have a great advantage.
The easiest method of selling online is to create a basic html web site - no fancy design, flash etc, host it cheaply, and use PayPal as your shopping cart (their software is quite straight forward & lenient to use).
I may give you a helping hand if you wish to. All you have to do is to find the most suitable domain for your business. Getting a good domain is pretty tough, don't you think so?
Hope this helps.

Uhh...if this person has very little knowledge, chances are all DreamWeaver 8 will do is make the person want to hang themselves from frustration.
Use a template or get an old HTML book to learn the basics. You could go the route of hiring someone - especially since you are wanting to buy and sell...because that will eventually involve security issues.

First thing you'll have to do is register a domain name for your company (like www.mycompany.com). You'll have to find a name no one has already taken. Yahoo's a good place to do this!
Do you want to learn enough computer to make it yourself? Learn xhtml, css, and javascript to make a simple home page to catch the customer's eye, a second page to provide product details, and a form page to take product orders.
If you *don't* want or have the time to learn the innards, then one way to do it is to get an invite to Google's PageMaker where you can use an on-the-fly web page creator. (I think you can do this with something in Microsoft Office, too?) Then you could use Jotform to create a form for taking orders? (Or, again, maybe something in Microsoft Office will help you set up a form?)
At any rate, Yahoo's one darned good place to set up a name and a place to store your stuff online for, say $12 per month for a small website...
Good luck!
