i will give few reasons.
1.the bird is too small for a rocket(if the rocket u r connecting is smaller than bird then don't call it a rocket).
2.birds cant go into space.they will die.
3.there is no atmosphere for wings to work.
4.birds cant fly at escape velocity.
5.even if the bird makes it space due to the small budget u r using the rocket will explode due to poor quality with which the rocket was built.

the bird would ride the rocket instead of the rocket riding the bird.
A rocket small enough the work with a bird would be able to produce enough thrust to get out of the atmosphere.
