A combination of both. Now the trick is to keep work at work. Or have 2 cell phones, 1 for work & 1 for personal...when 5:00 rolls around turn off the work one.
It is all up to the person to deligate their time. Some live for thier jobs while some know when to stop & smell the roses.
I personally can't live without my cell phone, and I never use it. But if something happens when I am away from the house I know I can get ahold of someone. Or if some thing happens to my son I am easy to get a hold of. So it is a security thing with me.

They've made my life easier. You can still escape work though since the batteries in those things do tend to die on occasion. At least that's what I tell my boss.
