ok...my info: my best friend is a guy, we have been friends for 10 years. I am engaged to a wonderful man and we have been together for over 3 years.

Last night I had a dream that it was Christmas and I was at my mom's house, everyone was exchanging gifts and stuff. My best friend was there and when he went to give me my present he burst into tears and told me he has always loved me and that he can't let me marry my fiance. I cried in my dream and asked why he had never said anything...

Why would I dream this?? I know it's probably just my subconsious. And I know a lot of you will probably say that deep down I have feelings for my friend..etc..etc.., but to tell the absolute truth, I just don't.

just to answer a few questions.. my fiance and I haven't fought recently and I don't remember thinking about my friend before I went to bed... After reading some answers, I got to thinking about a conversation my fiance and I had the other day, we were talking about the wedding and who was going to be in it.. of course my best friend is.. and he said "you know, I used to be so jealous of that guy"... and we laughed about it, but I think that might have had something to do with the dream.. Who knows... =)

answer to another question in an answer.. if this were to ever happen in real life, I wouldn't call off my wedding.. I would be upset because my best friend in the whole world felt like he couldn't tell me something that important.

You are right, it is in your subconscious mind. You may not have feelings for your friend. But what if you detected feelings that he has for you? That could have given rise to your dream - OR - it is just a dream that is showing you a way out of your current involvement with your fiance (not that you ever want to do it). This arises from you probably being apprehensive (however little it may be) about the new life that is going to unfold in front of you and you are hoping it will be a happy and successful one with this man that you love. I am sure it is going to be. Wish you a happy married life! Bon chance Madmoiselle! :-)

If that happened in real life what would you do? Would you consider not marrying your fiance? If so, then maybe the dream is trying to tell you something. If not, forget about it. Sometimes dreams are just a way of feelings and thought to get expressed that don't really mean anything.

I know you said that you have been with your love for three years. Have you had any fights or anything and who was it you thought of last before drifting off to sleep.
The mind is a strange thing i would not read anything into it. Just keep an open mind and congrats on the impending marriage. I hope you can be one of the few who make it work for the rest of your lives.

You've apparently always had a pretty close relationship with him (my best friend is a girl that I love to death) so in you're mind you were just probably dreaming about him because you were thinking about your relationships. I have weird dreams all the time, they say its usually whatever your last thoughts are just before you go to sleep (but I'm no expert lol) so that's probably all it was, don't sweat it I say....there's somebody out there for him too. :)

It could be a sign that maybe this friend likes you and does have feelings for you. Dreams could tell you many things and sometimes give answer you need to know. Go ahead and ask him.

This is interesting, but make sure you make noted on dreams like this.
Often they mean things, or project your current state of mind, or things that you would want to happen. There are some great sites to visit that I used:

this is an excellent site. Good luck!

It's just your mind making up stories of what 'could happen' But you wouldn't let that happen, and neither would he. If he's your friend, then he would want you to be happy.
