It is never 100% safe to have unprotected sex, there is always a chance to get pregnant. However, your fertility is highest at about the middle of your menstrual cycle (that is counting 14 days from the first day you get a period)

And it's lowest the closer it gets to your period... which means if you have sex during, a day before, or a day after your period there is too slim a chance because you are not very fertile at all.

So it's relatively safe to have sex in those days.

Hope this helps :)

It takes about 3 days for the sperm and egg to produce a "baby". Thats why girl's usually get a mourning after pill or plan B before the 3 day mark. If she hasn't done anything, then there might be a chance. Usually, she won't find out till after 4 weeks after her miss period and then take a pregnancy test. Don't take it before 4 weeks cause it can give inaccurate reading. I hope the best for you two. Good Luck and please be careful next time. I know it was just in the heat of the moment, it happens. P.S. Girls can still be pregnant even when they have their periods.

Best Sex control is abstinence :P. I would say your chances are slim. I'm no expert, but if I remember Correctly, Ovulating (when you are most fertile) is about 14 days after your period. To get pregnant you would want to have sex before during and after this time. But Once the period has came, I think it would be too late. And with sperm lasting only 24-48 hours I see no way it could happen.

I wouldn't worry, check out some health sites dealing with it if it makes you feel better. But chances are slim to none. I'm sure someone will have a better answer for you, but hope this helps.

Yes. You period had already started before you had sex, so even if you are pregnant, this one was going to happen anyway. You need to go and get a blood test to know for sure, or just wait it out. In about 6 weeks you can take a home test, any sooner than that and a home test is not accurate.

Yes, I had my first child either right before or during my period. Many say it isn't possible, but it is. Since your uterine lining had already started to shed, or "bleed" then you can't just stop it from happening. I'm not saying you are for sure pregnant but there is still a likelihood of it happening.

If your period stops abruptly (suddenly) then there is a possibility that your egg was fertilized and your uterus is going "whoops wait a second, there is something here!" So if your period stops suddenly or is way shorter than usual you could be pregnant.

Because your periods are unpredictable. you shouldn't have unprotected sex unless you want a child.

It it was your true period-then no you can't get pregnant the day before.

God you people giving answers are ignorant.

No, you are not pregnant. 0% chance. Your uterus doesnt think and make your period stop. Idiots. There is no chance you are pregnant.

No -- your period is an indication that you are not pregnant.

Please be more careful about having unprotected sex. I'm not judging you, just concerned.
