Does it matter what expansion pack you install first in the sims 2?

I bought the sims2 from ebay, and im not sure if the CD is bad because i already installed the sims 2 pets! When i put in the CD it's trying to install but it says that an error occured, and i dont know what it is because it's in written thai. There was another CD, not the disk2, but the french disk, so i tried to install that, but it stops on 57%, its not froze or anything i waited for as loong as i could,but it's still on 57%. I emailed the seller a few times now, but he/she never emailed me back. What should i do?

You might have gotten a bad disk...if they were in different languages they won't work right. It doesn't matter what order you install them, but if you've retried installing it, try reinstalling the whole game, if it still doesn't work, you might have to buy a new sims pets...
