The best kind are those open for other people's honest opinions. The worse are the sick perverted ones that reference children.

There is no 'best type'. Whatever you feel is relevant to you at the time is always a question worth answering.
However, the worst type are those designed to do nothing more than to wind people up and generally upset as many people as possible.

I don't know about the best kind of question, but the worst, most annoying questions I see in here are about car tyre pressure.

Any question that inspires good answers is a good question, especially if it's really unique. The worst kinds of questions here are the ones that are misused to insult other participants' beliefs, nationalities or races.

The best questions are the sincere one that provokes long, thoughtful answers, or the funny or factful ones.
The worst questions are the ones that trigger yes/no responses, or are stupid like "pick a letter" or "tell me a word that begins with B." Or, the very perverted, vulgar questions - those are really bad!

Good questions:
Relevent, maybe funny, not stupid (e.g. NOT 'How to cook a dragon' although this provides some amusement).
Bad question:
100th time repeat (e.g. 'Where do I find the new Black and Decker Superuberwickedsaw 2000), irrelevent, made up for 100% comedy.

I like serious as well as silly. Every question does not have to be soul searching. It's okay to have fun.
Personally I dislike questions about avatars, favorite color, and what's for dinner, because they've been asked hundreds of times.
