How are the two connected? France is a secular society, has nothing to do with the Pope. The last time the French tried genocide was when they tried to get rid of the Huguenots, who were Christian. In all fairness, that was centuries ago before France threw off the shackles of religion. So the answer to your illogical question is NO.

I'm sure they would, but I don't feel anyone, religion or country should commit genocide on another country or religious group. It's not the Muslims that are the issue. It's the radicals that are the issue and the problem. It's like that for all religions. Unfortunately the radical Muslims take it too far and feel they have a mandate from God to kill all infidals.
