I am working for a company in Central India as a web designer, I have been contacted by someone to make a site for him(my present comp will not be involved). I am a fresher and am not aware as to how much to charge. The person is happy with my previous work but wants to know beforehand how much it will cost. Pls tell me as to how much to charge. I don't have more than 10 months experience.

Web designers garner as much as $35 per hour here in the states. Depending on what kind of site you will be designing (is it static or dynamic) you can make an estimate on how long it will take to design the site. Many designers/developers have a set fee of $500 for a simple static design with up to 10 pages. Dynamic sites (some php/server-side stuff going on) are always more complicated and usually rate a much larger minimum fee.
With 10 months experience, depending on your design skills (is it visually pleasing or unique) you should probably charge no more than $1000.

Do yourself a favor and google around. Is this someone that is in your country or someone in America? Websites here in the US can go for as little as a couple of hundred or up to several thousand. It depends on the complexity involved. Don't rip yourself off - do some research.
