00 is a two digit number that is valid to people who aren't interested in anything.
69 is a two digit number that is valid to a different section of people.
99 is only valid to people who like red balloons.
That is about the only help that I can give you on the subject for now as I've only got about 11 brain cells left.

If you are trying to prove something for all numbers, but you only manage to show it true for 2 digit numbers, then you are not done. You might begin with this assumption to see how the theorem works, but you need to generalize for all numbers.

On the face of it,nothing wrong in assuming a two digit number. It depends on your problem.

well i've always assumed two digit numbers, 10 through 99
