I've got a mole just under a quarter of an inch in size on my cheek and I'm thinking of getting it removed as I'm so self conscious about it, like when I get on a bus I always try to sit on the side so my mole is facing the window and others in the bus can't see.. I know its rediculous! My friends say they don't even notice it, but I always notice them on other people and don't like how they look.. Do you think they're ugly and should I get it removed?

I think moles on some people are really pretty, though usually, I have to admit... I don't really notice them. If it's too large or embarrassing for you to deal with, then see a dermatologist to talk about getting it removed. But keep this is mind:

My mom and my boyfriend have both had moles removed (they were potentially cancerous), and both of them now have a very large crater-like scar where the mole used to be. So be cautious.

First, the only element that truly concerns is what you experience. in my view it is not grotesque, and each so often the scar from the mole removing is worse than the mole, it got here approximately to me. If it rather bothers you, try making use of cover as much as cover it. as lengthy as you artwork it regardless of the undeniable fact that, a tiny mole is not any great DEAL. :)

Unless it's so large that a little make-up won't cover it, most folks won't even notice it! Just think......Marilyn Monroe made moles famous and fashionable! Some women even draw them on to get attention! I'd have it removed ONLY at the medical advise of a dermatologist. God bless!

If it bothers you and you're self-conscious about it, then have it removed. It's a very quick procedure that isn't painful at all. I had a couple of small ones removed from my chin a couple of years ago...I'm glad their gone because I, personally, do not like facial moles. Good luck to you!

personally i have a mole right behind my ear so i wouldn't know exactly what you are going through but i can say this. if it makes you happier to just remove it then maybe you should. sometimes moles can be cancerous and should be removed.

Moles can be a beauty mark. If It is flat I would leave it alone. If it is raised you might consider removing it. If so get a good plastic surgeon and see what he says. If he is good he will tell if it needs removed or not.

It is totaly up to you if you should get it removed or not. i have one above my eyebrow that I just recently made an appt to have removed. Anyone who says they don't notice it, did at one point, there just used to it now. If your uncomfortable w/ it then go head and get it removed but if it doesn't bother you then leave it

i think it depends
they can be both beautiful and ugly
i personally have always envied all the women with those facial moles, the ones they call beauty marks, i think they're really beautiful and even thinking of getting one tattooed onto my face to look like the real thing

on the other hand, if its one of the granny-like ones that are like bulging and hairy and stuff that can be quite unattractive

I don't think any normal person would really take much notice, but if it personally bothers you, then I don't see a problem in getting it removed. HTH : )
