when people do secretive things, they are hiding something. Period. People here keep saying privacy....baloney! I never go through my mans things. And i have his email passwords, as he does mine.....when you aren't acting secretive, you get all the privacy you want/need.

2 things..
1. more then likely there are things in there he doesnt want u to see, secrets between husband and wife are not good
2. its possible that he feels like he has to share everything in his life with u and he just wants something that he can call his own, something just for him..
Depends on what kind of man he is..
If hes constantly using the internet to chat with other women , or he gives u reasons to believe that he would be doing something that would breach ur marriage vows then more then likely its number 1..
If hes a good man , does everything a husband should, treats u like a queen and this is ur only real hang up with him, then more then likely its just something he feels he needs to keep his own atonomy.. and if u trust him, then u shouldnt worry..
So it all depends on what kind of a man u feel ur married to..

Marriage is a union.
That being said, people still need their space, privacy and alone time.
A husband that keeps his email from his wife could be reacting to an invasion of his space and privacy, or could be hiding something....which is the nature of your question.
I would say that after talking with them about it, and gauging their reaction you would be able to determine wether or not you have something to worry about. Like my Grandpa used to say, "A guilty dog always barks."
Meaning when you bring this up you should see how defensive they are, if you feel they are overly defensive then stay alert for other signs of adultery and bust him, if he simply wants a private area of his life, then you should grant him that.

What do you mean by keep his email from you? I mean I don't read my husbands email, that's personal. But If I wanted to he wouldn't care, but I just don't see the point in it. It's like reading some else's mail. I guess if he was closing it when I walked in the room or being reall secretive then I might worry. But mine doesn't do that so I don't know? Why do you need to read it anyway?? HAve you asked him to read it or is he just acting weird?

There are two reasons I keep my e mail from wife. The first is I don't want to lose anything that may be important (delete by mistake) and the second is that this is someones personal place, akin to going through my wife's pocketbook.

or why would his wife feel she must read his emails?
If you don't trust him just tell him so, don't think he owes you every bit of privacy he has.
Do you make him read all your emails? Do you let him listen in to all your phone conversations? Do you make sure he is present whenever you talk to anyone? If the answer is no, then leave him alone. He has a right to privacy also.
If it's simply you don't trust him.....then I'm sure it's not just emails. You need to have a talk with him and voice your trust concerns.

A suspicious wife could cause a husband to just not to want to deal with all the questions. However, it could be he would be "caught" if he shared his e-mail.

Many reasons. Some people are just private. I have nothing to hide from my girlfriend but I wouldn't appreciate her reading my e-mails. You have to respect each others privacy.
