Also I have noticed that there is some sort of problem with Logitech webcams, as 4 of my friends use this type of Cam and they all have problems with them freezing alot. They all have top of the range computers and broadband 8mb connections, so that isn't the problem for them.

It depends on a couple of situations:

-your cpu speed
-your computer's amount of ram

but what I think are the most important here:

-the speed of your usb interface (if it's usb 1.1 it would be a maximum of 12 mb/s, if it were usb 2.0, it'd be 480 mb/s max) and
-the resolution at which you are capturing. try to decrease it as much as you can.

or you can delete some of your programs that you have to free some space in your computer it will make it run a little faster then before but not to much and also try to delete your temp internet files and cookies
