I cannot figure this out, maybe someone else can help...anyone work as a driver for FED EX or UPS???

Why is is that you can HAND a ground package to any driver and they will take it to the hub but you cannot put ground packages in the drop box???? I mean, you can STAND next to the drop box and hand your packages to the driver but you cannot put them in the box that the driver is emptying...but yet, the driver ends up with the package anyways....is it because ground packages are usually heavy??? Because I ship daily and I ship out next day packages that weigh 40 - 50 lbs and I drop them in the drop box...and I've shipped ground packages that weigh a pound...

This is driving me nuts!!! Anyone with an answer, please help!!!!!

Because the packages need to go back to the warehouse/hub to get registered and entered into their system. Until it is entered into their system, the tracking number on the package will not be valid.

Also, the driver that picks up your package might not be the one to actually deliver it to its location. Every driver has a certain area that they take care of and if the package is out of their area, they cannot deliver it. So, it will be given to another driver.

I know I was up and running all day from a bout of the sh*ts from some crappy food I ingested. Okay, okay, you're right, it was in the corner for a few days and even the cat wouldn't eat it. So what? With the crap I've shoved in my pie-hole, I thought it wouldn't matter. Who's nude? Oh, sorry. I meant to say, who knew?
