Western Union is a money wire/transfer service. You go to a Western Union location and pay the money there. Then the person you are sending it to goes to the Western Union location where they are and picks up the money. You will need to give the person you are sending money to the confirmation number they give you when you send the money. They will also need some type of ID to pick up the money. You are best to send it by Swift transfer. It will cost you £20 but is normally there the next day if done before 2pm. sometimes even the same day. Also you are not solely relying on the internet to do it, you are doing it through your bank account so you have some comeback.
