lost my only car key &have to wait for them to get it frm france if i go fruw peugoet any other idea?

You could go to your local part store and buy a new ignition or I think that sometime a locksmith can make a new key from your old ignition.

I would go to a breakers yard and buy a new lockset and keys, just tell them the make, model and year and they should be able to supply you with a new lot. Main dealers just see the £ and don't bother to tell you the cheaper options, from a breakers it should be about £15 - £25 (and shouldn't need to be re-coded as long as you get the ignition barrel too). You should get the door locks, boot lock and petrol cap (if key operated) along with the ignition barrel and that is the complete lockset.
My nan bought one a few years ago for a corrolla and it only cost her £15.
If it is a new car and coded, you might need to go main dealer, but the breakers will tell you that.

It happen to me with a Ford,i smashed the rear near side passenger quarter window,took the cover of the steering collum,took the lock of, brought a new one,( new lock new keys £25 )went down a scrap yard got new window, had it fitted £25 you go weigh it up, good luck

You would have to break in and then change all the locks, about £500.

but I bet the new locks take 7 weeks to get here.

the police used to keep a big box of old car keys at the station and would lend it to you with a bobby of course to see if any of them fit, maybe they still do, find some chavs to get into yer car !

i went to my dealer for my key. try that. or you could get one on line also.try a search for *keys*. youll be amazed how many places could help.good luck
