I believe there is to a certain extent. I think that some powerful and rich people put their money where there mouth is, so to speak. They decided the time had come to change the perspective of the majority by using thier money to promote the changes they see as productive for our country. In order to continue to live in a free country we must allow freedom. Who is behind it, well I assume that perhaps George Soros may have much power behind the scenes so he might be one. We cant have it both ways folks. Either we are free or we are not. The government regulating our sex lives is too much. The government is not our daddy nor do we need one. Allow everyone the freedom to be who they are and quit harrassing them.

I definitely have had a seem around that website and that's scary - there's a image of a woman who has been heavily crushed on the homepage (that's a terrible image) - curiously for no reason as is does not link to something suitable. It says 'sugar and spice' and hyperlinks to 3 information approximately violent and abusive women. i do no longer desire to best pal myself with women who say 'all adult adult males are bastards', yet needless to say i'm unlikely to be gained over to the 'antimisandrist' reason via examining this variety of element. this is vile. that's indicative of an concept that's no longer translating nicely into prepare because of the fact there are adult adult males who've a much extra violent time table contributing to the area. In that way it jogs my memory of the a techniques stunning in the united kingdom. The BNP has some very smart rules, yet dig around and additionally you will locate the variety of hatred which could purely be defined as violent neo-nazi. i spotted that Mike T is a contributor. No surprises there!

No one is behind it parse. Approximately 10% of the population is gay (Conservatives would claim a smaller amount, but it is difficult to claim less than 4 to 5% are gay, since that number are out and will tell pollsters that they are gay -- and anyone who is gay can tell you that there are as many queers closeted as out -- so I do happen to believe the 10% statistic). Do you know of ANY group of people comprising 10% of the population that doesn't lobby for some form of equal rights? I doubt you do. Therefore, the people who are "behind it" are the people who are it. Now, for reasons of ethics, justice, decency and morality, a large number of straight people support gay rights as well -- but the actual "gay lobby" -- groups including the Log Cabin Repbublicans, the Stonewall Democrats, the Human Rights Campaign, the Gay and Lesbian Anti-Defamation League, the Pride Agenda and so forth -- are just groups of gay people who want equal rights and band together to get them -- exactly as every group from the Italian-American Society to the Knights of Columbus, to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) always has, in advocating for the groups that they represent.
I hope that helps.
Regards,
Reynolds

I believe such a thing exists. The people behind it are probably homosexuals who want to protect and expand their rights.
Considering the various laws enacted regarding this in the past, I can see why they want such a lobby.
They are a "special interest group." -- Then again, anyone who cares about anything is part of a "special interest group" -- racial minorities, business people, doctors, nurses, older people, immigrants, etc. etc.
Brief rant: I don't know why "special interest groups" are considered bad... the only people not part of a special interest groups are people who aren't interested in anything!

Yes, there are gay lobbyists. Most interests are represented by lobbyists.
Here are just a couple of gay lobbies:
GayWatch and GayNz.com
And to all the bloggers that want to bash: mind your own business.
