Yep - kudos for the answerers who remember "The Adventure Game". Had the fun of the Hitch-Hikers guide and the cheapness of...well, of BBC fake game-shows throughout history, really.
There was usually a game to collect "Drogna" - the perspex currency of the aliens who ran the game. Yes, the "bad guy" was Uncle - and for some reason that was never revealed, he was a growling, gurgling aspidistra.
Check out the link below for extra little reminiscences.

The Adventure game where they had to go on the vortex at the end and if they took a wrong footing they vapourised! Lots of puzzles they had to do before they got to this part and they could lose members of there team if they weren't quick enough.

I so know what you mean - Moira Stewart (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) and there was an Australian guy who spoke backwards. Ooooh, that's really annoyed me I can't remember....I hope someone else answers before I have to - Ahh - remembered - The Adventure Game!

i imagine i recognize the only you advise yet won't be able to save in thoughts the call. did it have some style of eco-friendly monster in it and they used to spend a large style of this technique in the kitchen. the monster (who change into truly very effective!) and a lady used to plant issues in a pot, then positioned them contained in the tree and spot what it would want to the seed might want to strengthen into? ooh! purely remembered what it really is - Greenclaws! is that the only you've been speaking about?

I'm sure it was the adventure game - and they had to avoid the vortex as well as the "bad guy". Wasn't the plant called Uncle?

Was The Adventure Game also the one where they had alphabet soup, and had to spell things? And the final, there was a Darth Vader-esque thing, chasing them?
