Usually nothing, but I do have an assortment of different underwear for my tastes. If I do wear underwear I like to match it to what I am wearing. The cut usually does not matter, but I don't go for Grannie panties.

It depends on the clothes you are wearing. If you have tight pants on or want to look sexy for your man, then thongs. But if you want to be comfortable, and have loose clothes on, then regular panties are good.
