Black heath (amazing place but very expensive) or Greenwich

Greenwich is thhe nicest and it has the dlr that takes 40 minutes to get to central london. There are also loads of buses every few minutes that go to Woolwich.

But Greenwich is expensive so you could move to the Grerenwich border, somewhere like Deptford, where you are still in walking distance to buses, the dlr or overland (deptford overland is 15 mins to London Bridge) and the rent is much cheaper.

I thought they were extending the DLR to Woolwich but I dont think it's gonna be soon. So for now if I was you I would move to Greenwich.

try beckenham, it's technically in kent but is south east london. it takes 30 mins on the train from beckenham station to victoria. My friend lives there and it is really nice. Bars, pubs etc...
