If they win the SEC championship game and still find themselves a few points behind in the standings, I think they can only blame themselves for playing Western Carolina who is 2-9....there are plenty of other teams in better conferences that you can schedule where you know u can win. Heck, schedule Washington or UCLA...u can definately win, and it wont look like your playing a I-AA team.

dusty- if u say a win is a win...then why wouldnt florida scheudle division 1AA teams all season? Look at Bosie St...they are undefeated and beat a bunch of nobodies..thats why they are 8 and not 2.

they wont get in but yeah, they only can blame themselves. that game against western carolina was a guarantee win so and an easy one. they wanted to play them so yeah, they could have picked a harder team which would have boosted the points in the end.

It wouldn't matter if they had scheduled the New England Patriots the media/voters wants to see USC and Ohio State in the NC game and they will unless some miracle happens and UCLA beats USC and the only reason it would happen then is because they won't have a choice but to leave them out. How on God's earth do you figure USC losing to Oregon St is on the same level as Florida getting beat by AUBURN? I'll never understand.
The reason the SEC teams schedule easy games out of conference is because our IN conference schedule is harder than anyone's on the planet. Lets take Florida as an example. EVERY YEAR they have to play Florida State, LSU, Auburn, Tenn, Georgia, and then they have to rotate a team in from the west which this year just happened to be Alabama. Look at that schedule!!! How anyone can say with a straight face that Southern Cal sitting over there playing freaking Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona St, UCLA and freakin Stanford is in the same ball park is beyond me and I personally want to puke every time I hear someone talk about Southern Cal's "strength of schedule". The only other person in the Pac-10 that anybody ever talks about is Cal and they get the crap kicked out of them everytime they leave their conference so please spare me the "they play Cal and Oregon" bit. Pul-lease.
Let USC schedule 4 SEC teams in their regular schedule and see how many one loss season's they have. Anyone can sit over there and beat a bunch of nobodies and go undefeated. Come to the SEC and play somebody and see how easy it is then.

i'm going to stir the pot by asserting that i think of it is going to have been Oklahoma and Texas playing for the call. i think of the SEC is very hyped up and the Gators won't have a raffle against the extreme-powered quicker attack. OU has scored 60+ factors in 5 right this moment video games against communities with a blended 40-one-20 mark. The final 3 wins have been against ranked fighters and that they might have been on a 6-game 60+ PPG streak had they scored a pair extra against Kansas State decrease back in October. OU's purely loss got here to then-#a million Texas jointly as Florida lost an Ole omit team that fluctuate into 2-2 on the time and finished 8-4 purely because of the fact they gained their final 5 video games against cupcake fighters. Florida's final 5 wins got here against communities that had a blended 40-20 checklist yet secure The fortress, not often an NCAA skill. Florida's solid, yet Oklahoma is extra effective.

The only thing Florida needs to blame if they don't go is the unbelievable media bias for USC. Florida is in a MUCH tougher conference and has a MUCH more intimidating strength of schedule than USC. The only time the BCS did its job and took out the media bias was the first year, sense then the media complains every year until we are no further along than we were in the late 80's.

The strength of schedule argument is a mute point. The BCS is a joke. Don't think so then explain prior to last weekend how West Virginia was ranked seventh in the BCS. They had played only one ranked opponent in Louisville and they lost that game. Strength of schedule my a**.
We are back to the days of media hype and let's give the less powerful conferences more recognition. Pat Dye former Auburn coach had it right long ago. The powerhouse football teams should form their own division with a playoff system and everyone else can play in the bowl system.

You are not going to have to worry about Florida mediating on Ohio state and USC. The only thing that Florida is going to have on their minds after the championship game is the back of D-Mac’s jersey. Woo Pig…… Go Hogs……….Razorbacks

The reason they can blame themselves is that they lost. It will be Ohio State and USC in the championship game this year. That will be a damn good game I believe.
